The Monticello Panthers football team (Monticello, IA), was beaten 28-14 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Beckman Trailblazers (Dyersville, IA)

The Trailblazers (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Cascade (Cascade, IA). The Cougars come into the 1A District 4 challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Cascade achieved victory over Anamosa (Anamosa, IA), 46-7, in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tipton for a 2A District 5 challenge on Friday, September 16.
