In Friday's non-league match, the host Gardiner Tigers football squad scored a big 43-0 victory over the Belfast Lions.
In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME) in a B North match, on Friday, September 16. Gardiner will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 37-0 non-league win over Deering (Portland, ME).
The Lions (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Winslow (Winslow, ME). The Black Raiders enter the C North match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Winslow was crushed by Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME), 40-0, in a league match.
