The Brackett Tigers held off the host Hondo Owls football team by a final score of 51-49 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Brackett improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Tigers host Comfort (Comfort, TX) to confront the Bobcats/Deer in a non-league outing on Friday, September 16. The Bobcats/Deer go into the outing with a record of 0-3. Comfort lost 50-0 in their recent non-league outing against Blanco (Blanco, TX)

With the loss, Hondo moves to 1-2 on the season. The Owls travel to Devine (Devine, TX) to confront the Warhorses in a non-league outing on Friday, September 16. The Warhorses go into the outing with a record of 3-0. Devine won 48-3 in their recent non-league outing against Natalia (Natalia, TX)
