The Pelham Panthers held off the visiting Briarwood Christian Lions football team by a final score of 35-34 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Pelham improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Helena (Helena, AL) to confront the Huskies in a 6A Region 3 outing on Friday, September 16. The Huskies go into the outing with a record of 3-1. Helena won 35-28 in their recent league outing against Chilton County (Clanton, AL)

With the loss, Briarwood Christian moves to 2-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Oak Mountain (Birmingham, AL) to confront the Eagles in a non-league outing on Friday, September 23. The Eagles go into the outing with a record of 2-2.
