California High School Football - Royal prevails Canyon

September 9, 2022: Canyon Country, CA 91351

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Royal Highlanders (Simi Valley, CA) and the host Canyon Cowboys (Canyon Country, CA), observed Royal's football squad defeat Canyon by a count of 23-3.

The Highlanders now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Newbury Park for a Canyon contest on Friday, September 16. Royal will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 31-21 non-league win over St. Joseph (Santa Maria, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-0.

Coming up next, the Cowboys encounter the West Ranch Wildcats (Valencia, CA) in a Foothill contest, on Friday, September 16. Canyon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 4-0 record after their 35-0 non-league win over St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA).
