North Carolina High School Football - Chesnee nipped by R-S Central

September 9, 2022: Rutherfordton, NC 28139

The R-S Central Hilltoppers held off the visiting Chesnee Eagles football team by a count of 27-20 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, R-S Central upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Hilltoppers host Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to encounter the Bearcats in a 2A West Conference 41 outing on Friday, September 16. The Bearcats go into the outing with a record of 3-1. Hendersonville won 51-16 in their recent non-league outing against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC)

With the loss, Chesnee moves to 0-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Landrum (Landrum, SC) to encounter the Cardinals in a AA Region 1 outing on Friday, September 30. The Cardinals go into the outing with a record of 1-2.
