The Cowanesque Valley Indians football team (Westfield, PA), was beaten 36-20 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Montgomery Red Raiders (Montgomery, PA)
The Red Raiders (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Muncy (Muncy, PA). The Indians come into the Northern Tier - Small challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Muncy achieved victory over Wellsboro (Wellsboro, PA), 30-22, in a non-league challenge.
The Indians now sport a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host South Williamsport for a Northern Tier - Small challenge on Friday, September 16. Cowanesque Valley will meet a Mountaineers team coming off a 72-6 league win over Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (Bloomsburg, PA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 2-1.
