The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Gateway Gators (Monroeville, PA) and the host North Hills Indians (Pittsburgh, PA), observed Gateway's football squad edge North Hills by a count of 20-17.

The Gators now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin Regional for a WPIAL AAAAA Big East contest on Friday, September 16. Gateway will play a Panthers squad coming off a 40-0 non-league win over Connellsville (Connellsville, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.

Coming up next, the Indians play the Woodland Hills Wolverines (Pittsburgh, PA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 16. North Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wolverines go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 48-14 non-league loss to Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA).
