New York High School Football - Hewlett felled by Wantagh

The Hewlett Bulldogs football team (Hewlett, NY), was knocked off 16-7 in Friday's league challenge with the host Wantagh Warriors (Wantagh, NY)

The Warriors (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Bethpage (Bethpage, NY). The Golden Eagles come into the Section 8 Conference III challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Bethpage knocked off Floral Park Memorial (Floral Park, NY), 21-14, in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Roosevelt for a Section 8 Conference III challenge on Friday, September 16. Hewlett will meet a Roughriders team coming off a 35-14 league win over Valley Stream North (Franklin Square, NY). The Roughriders record now stands at 1-0.
