Texas High School Football - Independence knocks off Skyline

September 9, 2022: Dallas, TX 75227

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Independence Knights (Frisco, TX) and the host Skyline Raiders (Dallas, TX), observed Independence's football squad thwart Skyline by a count of 31-15.

The Knights now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Pittsburg for a non-league contest on Friday, September 16. Independence will play a Pirates squad coming off a 49-28 non-league loss to Tatum (Tatum, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 0-3.

Coming up next, the Raiders play the DeSoto Eagles (DeSoto, TX) in a 6A Region II District 11 contest, on Friday, September 16. Skyline will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 42-23 non-league win over South Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX).
