The Lee Academy Cougars (Marianna, AR) football routed the host Marvell Academy Eagles (Marvell, AR), 51-6 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Cougars face the West Memphis Christian Black Knights (West Memphis, AR) in a MAIS 8-Man 1A District 1 (8 Man) bout, on Friday, September 16. Lee Academy will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Black Knights enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 36-0 non-league loss to Deer Creek (Arcola, MS).
The Eagles (0-3) will now prepare for their bout against DeSoto (West Helena, AR). The Thunderbirds enter the non-league bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, DeSoto was crushed by North Sunflower Academy (Drew, MS), 44-6, in a non-league bout.
