In Friday's league game, the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) football team smashed the host Lisle Lions (Lisle, IL), by a final score of 53-0.

The Comets (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers come into the Illinois Central Eight game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Manteno was trounced by Peotone (Peotone, IL), 28-13, in a league game.

The Lions now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Streator for a Illinois Central Eight game on Friday, September 16. Lisle will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 16-12 league win over Herscher (Herscher, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-1.
