Texas High School Football - McAllen drops to Mercedes

September 9, 2022: Mercedes, TX 78570

In Friday's non-league game, the Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) football team knocked off the visiting McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX), by a final score of 47-38.

The Tigers (1-2) will now prepare for their game against La Feria (La Feria, TX). The Lions come into the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, La Feria toppled Pace (Brownsville, TX), 42-21, in a non-league game.

The Bulldogs now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North for a 5A-1 Region IV District 15 game on Friday, September 16. McAllen will battle a Raiders team coming off a 26-21 non-league win over United South (Laredo, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 3-0.
