Virginia High School Football - Nansemond River drops to Western Branch

September 9, 2022: Suffolk, VA 23434

In Friday's league game, the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) football team knocked off the host Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), by a final score of 38-8.

The Bruins (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Grizzlies come into the Southeastern game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Grassfield was dropped by Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA), 54-0, in a league game.

The Warriors now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Hickory for a Southeastern game on Thursday, September 15. Nansemond River will battle a Hawks team coming off a 22-19 league loss to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 0-3.
