Texas High School Football - Thorndale overwhelms Riesel

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Thorndale Bulldogs (Thorndale, TX) and the visiting Riesel Indians (Riesel, TX), observed Thorndale's football squad bounce Riesel by a count of 54-21.

The Bulldogs now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Iola for a non-league contest on Friday, September 16. Thorndale will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 54-14 non-league loss to Lovelady (Lovelady, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2.

Coming up next, the Indians play the Bruceville-Eddy Eagles (Eddy, TX) in a 2A-1 Region II District 8 contest, on Friday, September 23. Riesel will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 0-3 record after their 42-20 non-league loss to Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX).
