Alabama High School Football - Sipsey Valley held off by West Blocton

September 9, 2022: Buhl, AL 35446

In Friday's league game, the West Blocton Tigers (West Blocton, AL) football team tipped the host Sipsey Valley Bears (Buhl, AL), by a score of 18-14.

The Tigers (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Montevallo (Montevallo, AL). The Bulldogs come into the 4A Region 3 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Montevallo got by Dallas County (Plantersville, AL), 28-0, in a league game.

The Bears now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bibb County for a 4A Region 3 game on Friday, September 16. Sipsey Valley will battle a Choctaws team coming off a 20-13 league loss to American Christian Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Choctaws record now stands at 2-2.
