In Friday's non-league battle, the host East Greenwich Avengers soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the West Warwick Wizards.
The Avengers (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Pilgrim (Warwick, RI). The Patriots go into the State Championship Division - A battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Pilgrim nipped La Salle Academy (Providence, RI), 3-1, in a league battle.
