The Pueblo County Hornets (Pueblo, CO) softball nipped the visiting La Junta Tigers (La Junta, CO), 6-5 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Hornets (7-2) will now prepare for their bout against Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO). The Red-Tailed Hawks go into the non-league bout with a 6-3 record. In their last bout, Cheyenne Mountain held off Woodland Park (Woodland Park, CO), 6-4, in a non-league bout.
