Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Vista Ridge Wolves (Colorado Springs, CO), 13-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Mavericks now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Windsor for a 4A NCAA challenge on Tuesday, September 13. Mead will battle a Wizards squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Columbine (Littleton, CO). The Wizards record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Vista Ridge falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Standley Lake (Westminster, CO) to battle the Gators in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 9. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Standley Lake won 8-6 in their recent non-league challenge against The Academy (Westminster, CO)
