In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Alverno Heights Academy Jaguars volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Muir Mustangs.

The Jaguars (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Covina (Covina, CA). The Colts come into the non-league battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Covina was edged by Gabrielino (San Gabriel, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Arcadia Apaches (Arcadia, CA) in a Pacific battle, on Tuesday, September 13. Muir will attempt to advance on its 2-9 season record. The Apaches come into the battle with a 6-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Burroughs (Burbank, CA).
