The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the King Mustangs (Corpus Christi, TX) and the host Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX), saw King's volleyball squad beat Miller by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, King upgrades its record to 9-6 on the year. The Mustangs host Flour Bluff (Corpus Christi, TX) to play the Hornets in a 5A Region IV District 29 game on Tuesday, September 20. The Hornets enter the game with a record of 21-5.
The Buccaneers (12-14) will now prepare for their game against Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX). The Pirates enter the non-league game with a 18-6 record. In their last game, Rockport-Fulton gained a win over Ingleside (Ingleside, TX), 3-0, in a league game.
