The Prairiland Patriots volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Pittsburg Pirates to 0 in the Patriots non-league victory on Friday.
The Patriots now have a 20-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chisum for a 3A Region II District 12 game on Tuesday, September 13. Prairiland will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Edgewood (Edgewood, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 24-3.
The Pirates (6-7) will now prepare for their game against Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, TX). The Tigers enter the non-league game with a 16-1 record. In their last game, Mount Vernon gained a win over Boles (Quinlan, TX), 3-0, in a non-league game.
