Pocono Mountain East Cardinals (Swiftwater, PA) followers went home happy Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host William Allen Canaries (Allentown, PA), 3-0 in a league game.

The Cardinals now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Emmaus for a EPC18 - Skyline game on Tuesday, September 13. Pocono Mountain East will meet a Hornets team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over East Stroudsburg North (Dingmans Ferry, PA). The Hornets record now stands at 6-1.

The Canaries (0-5) will now prepare for their game against East Stroudsburg South (East Stroudsburg, PA). The Cavaliers enter the EPC18 - Skyline game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, East Stroudsburg South was dropped by Allentown Central Catholic (Allentown, PA), 3-0, in a league game.
