    The Mercer Mustangs football team (Mercer, PA), was ripped 48-14 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA)

    The Greyhounds (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hickory (Hermitage, PA). The Hornets come into the District 10 Region 3 challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Hickory was ripped by Sharon (Sharon, PA), 12-0, in a league challenge.

    The Mustangs now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Saegertown for a District 10 Region 1 challenge on Friday, September 15. Mercer will meet a Panthers team coming off a 45-0 league loss to Cochranton (Cochranton, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
