The Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL) football defeated the host Charleston Trojans (Charleston, IL), 22-6 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, September 18. Jersey will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.

The Trojans (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Mahomet-Seymour defeated Paris (Paris, IL), 27-6, in a non-league bout.
