West Virginia High School Volleyball - Nitro over Nicholas County

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) and the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), saw Nitro's volleyball squad beat Nicholas County by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Nitro upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Wildcats host South Charleston (South Charleston, WV) to play the Black Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 12. The Black Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-10. South Charleston lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against George Washington (Charleston, WV)

The Grizzlies now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Woodrow Wilson for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 9. Nicholas County will play a Flying Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 league win over South Charleston (South Charleston, WV). The Flying Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
