Lakota West Firebirds (West Chester, OH) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting St. Xavier Bombers (Cincinnati, OH), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Firebirds confront the Hamilton Big Blue (Hamilton, OH) in a Greater Miami challenge, on Thursday, September 14. Lakota West will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record.

The Bombers now have a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Elder for a Greater Catholic South challenge on Tuesday, September 12. St. Xavier will confront a Panthers team coming off a 2-2 non-league Oak Hills (Cincinnati, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 3-3.
