The Perry County Central Commodores held off the host South Laurel Cardinals soccer squad by a margin of 4-3 in Saturday's non-league match.
The Commodores now sport a 12-2 record. They play next when they travel to Buckhorn for a District 53 match on Saturday, September 9.
With the loss, South Laurel drops to 4-4 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY) to encounter the Mountaineers in a District 49 match on Tuesday, September 12. The Mountaineers come into the match with a record of 6-2.
