Arvada West Wildcats (Arvada, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northfield Nighthawks (Denver, CO), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they host Columbine for a 5A Jeffco challenge on Wednesday, September 13. Arvada West will battle a Rebels squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Holy Family (Broomfield, CO). The Rebels record now stands at 13-2.

With the loss, Northfield falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Nighthawks travel to Westminster (Westminster, CO) to battle the Wolves in a 5A/4A/3A Denver Prep challenge on Thursday, September 14. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 5-6.
