The Kearney Bulldogs (Kearney, MO) softball the host Carthage Tigers (Carthage, MO), 3-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs (9-3) will now prepare for their bout against Central (St. Joseph, MO). The Indians go into the non-league bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Central by Fort Osage (Independence, MO), 11-2, in a non-league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to Webb City for a Class 4 District 12 bout on Tuesday, September 12. Carthage will confront a Cardinals squad coming off a 14-10 league win over Joplin (Joplin, MO). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-3.
