The Gordon Lee Trojans nipped the host Central Lions softball squad by a final score of 4-3 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Trojans (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA). The Rebels go into the non-league battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Haralson County was edged by LaGrange (LaGrange, GA), 11-2, in a non-league battle.

The Lions now possess a 9-7 record. They play next when they host Rockmart for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 9. Central will confront a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Woodland (Cartersville, GA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 13-0.
