Trenton Bulldogs (Trenton, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting DeKalb Tigers (DeKalb, MO), 9-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Penney for a Class 2 District 15 challenge on Monday, September 11. Trenton will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Carrollton (Carrollton, MO). The Hornets record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, DeKalb falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Northeast Nodaway (Ravenwood, MO) to battle the Blue Jays in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 12. The Blue Jays enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Northeast Nodaway won 5-2 in their recent league challenge against North Andrew (Rosendale, MO)
