The Kirksville Tigers the host Lawson Cardinals softball squad by a final score of 7-3 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Tigers (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Chillicothe (Chillicothe, MO). The Hornets go into the Class 3 District 13 battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Chillicothe held off Lafayette (St. Joseph, MO), 11-1, in a non-league battle.

The Cardinals now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Carrollton for a non-league battle on Monday, September 11. Lawson will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Knob Noster (Knob Noster, MO). The Trojans record now stands at 4-0.
