Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the West Platte Bluejays (Weston, MO) and the host Lafayette Fighting Irish (St. Joseph, MO), witnessed West Platte's softball squad tip Lafayette by a count of 6-3.

The Bluejays now sport a 6-0 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson for a non-league match on Tuesday, September 12.

With the loss, Lafayette moves to 6-6 on the season. The Fighting irish travel to Mid-Buchanan (Faucett, MO) to meet the Dragons in a non-league match on Monday, September 11. The Dragons go into the match with a record of 9-2. Mid-Buchanan lost 11-2 in their recent non-league match against Staley (Kansas City, MO)
