St. Elizabeth Hornets (St. Elizabeth, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Nevada Tigers (Nevada, MO), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they host South Callaway for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 11. St. Elizabeth will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Tuscumbia (Tuscumbia, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Nevada falls to 11-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Holden (Holden, MO) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 11. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. Holden won 9-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Southern Boone (Ashland, MO)
