Tina-Avalon Dragons (Tina, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Novinger Wildcats (Novinger, MO), 11-10 in a non-league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Slater for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 25.

With the loss, Novinger falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Brashear (Brashear, MO) to battle the Tigers in a Class 1 District 11 challenge on Tuesday, September 12. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Brashear won 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Schuyler County (Lancaster, MO)
