The Rifle Bears softball team (Rifle, CO), was routed 11-4 in Saturday's non-league test with the host Roosevelt Roughriders (Johnstown, CO)

Coming up next, the Roughriders encounter the Severance Silver Knights (Severance, CO) in a 4A Longs Peak test, on Tuesday, September 12. Roosevelt will attempt to improve on its 10-3 season record. The Silver Knights enter the test with a 6-7 record after their 15-5 league loss to Riverdale Ridge (Thornton, CO).

The Bears (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO). The Kadets enter the non-league test with a 10-1 record. In their last test, Air Academy tipped Montrose (Montrose, CO), 8-7, in a non-league test.
