In Saturday's non-league contest, the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA) volleyball team defeated the host Destrehan Wildcats (Destrehan, LA), by a count of 2-0.

The Bulldogs (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Catholic (Morgan City, LA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Central Catholic went down by Assumption (Napoleonville, LA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats encounter the Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 9. Destrehan will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA).
