The Blanchard Lions held off the visiting Putnam City Pirates volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lions now have a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clinton for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 12. Blanchard will confront a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Cache (Cache, OK). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 3-12.
The Pirates (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Lawton (Lawton, OK). The Wolverines enter the non-league test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, Lawton was nudged by Altus (Altus, OK), 3-2, in a non-league test.
