In Saturday's non-league contest, the Blythewood Bengals (Blythewood, SC) volleyball squad knocked off the host Summerville Green Wave (Summerville, SC), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Bengals battle the Fountain Inn Fury (Fountain Inn, SC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 9. Blythewood will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Fury come into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Wren (Piedmont, SC).

With the loss, Summerville drops to 2-8 on the campaign. The Green wave travel to Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC) to battle the Swamp Foxes in a AAAAA Region 7 contest on Saturday, September 9. The Swamp Foxes come into the contest with a record of 9-2. Ashley Ridge won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Academic Magnet (North Charleston, SC)
