In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Charles City Comets volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Spirit Lake Indians.
The Comets (15-4) will now prepare for their battle against Sheldon (Sheldon, IA). The Orabs come into the non-league battle with a 1-6 record. In their last battle, Sheldon went down by Unity Christian (Orange City, IA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Indians encounter the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets (Estherville, IA) in a Lakes battle, on Saturday, September 9. Spirit Lake will attempt to move on its 5-13 season record. The Midgets come into the battle with a 12-2 record after their 3-1 non-league win over North Union (Armstrong, IA).
