In Saturday's non-league contest, the Taft Toreadors (Woodland Hills, CA) volleyball squad edged the host Culver City Centaurs (Culver City, CA), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Toreadors battle the Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 9. Taft will attempt to better on its 15-2 season record. The Gondoliers come into the contest with a 5-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Poly (Sun Valley, CA).

With the loss, Culver City drops to 9-3 on the campaign. The Centaurs travel to Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates, CA) to battle the Sea Kings in a Bay contest on Tuesday, September 12. The Sea Kings come into the contest with a record of 8-3. Palos Verdes lost 2-1 in their recent non-league contest against San Juan Hills (San Juan Capistrano, CA)
