In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Dowling Catholic Maroons volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Grinnell Tigers.

The Maroons (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Johnston (Johnston, IA). The Dragons come into the CIML - Metro battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Johnston achieved victory over Urbandale (Urbandale, IA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Tigers encounter the Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 9. Grinnell will attempt to advance on its 1-9 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the battle with a 1-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA).
