The East Central Hornets volleyball team (Moss Point, MS), went down 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Saraland Spartans (Saraland, AL)

The Spartans (15-2) will now prepare for their challenge against T.R. Miller (Brewton, AL). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, T.R. Miller went down by Washington County (Chatom, AL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hornets encounter the Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS) in a Class 5 Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. East Central will attempt to move on its 7-9 season record. The Golden Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS).
