The Grand Rapids Thunderhawks topped the visiting Hill-Murray Pioneers volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Thunderhawks now have a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Minneapolis Southwest for a non-league test on Saturday, September 9. Grand Rapids will confront a Lakers team coming off a 3-0 league win over North Community (Minneapolis, MN). The Lakers record now stands at 1-0.
The Pioneers (4-6) will now prepare for their test against North (North St. Paul, MN). The Polars enter the Metro East test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, North was knocked off by Hastings (Hastings, MN), 3-0, in a league test.
