In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Wahlert Golden Eagles volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Grinnell Tigers.
The Golden Eagles (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Hawks come into the Mississippi Valley - Valley battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Jefferson went down by Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Tigers encounter the Iowa City West Trojans (Iowa City, IA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 9. Grinnell will attempt to move on its 1-9 season record. The Trojans come into the battle with a 2-6 record after their 3-2 league loss to Linn-Mar (Marion, IA).
