In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Marshalltown Bobcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Jefferson Hawks.
The Bobcats (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA). The Wahawks come into the non-league battle with a 1-6 record. In their last battle, Waterloo West lost by Iowa City West (Iowa City, IA), 3-2, in a league battle.
Next, the Hawks encounter the Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA) in a Mississippi Valley - Valley battle, on Tuesday, September 12. Jefferson will attempt to advance on its 1-8 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the battle with a 2-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Grinnell (Grinnell, IA).
