The Portales Rams volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Manzano Monarchs to 1 in the Rams non-league victory on Saturday.
The Rams now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roswell for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 12. Portales will meet a Coyotes team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Coyotes record now stands at 2-2.
The Monarchs (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Valley (Albuquerque, NM). The Vikings enter the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Valley was dropped by Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM), 3-0, in a non-league game.
