The Wheeling Wildcats volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Marengo Indians to 0 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wildcats now have a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elgin for a non-league game on Monday, September 11. Wheeling will meet a Maroons team coming off a 2-1 league win over Aurora East (Aurora, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 1-11.
The Indians (7-7) will now prepare for their game against Harvard (Harvard, IL). The Hornets enter the Kishwaukee River game with a 2-7 record. In their last game, Harvard dropped by Sycamore (Sycamore, IL), 2-0, in a non-league game.
