The Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves (Winfield, IA) volleyball nudged the host Mediapolis Bulldogs (Mediapolis, IA), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.
With the win, Winfield-Mt. Union betters its record to 8-8 on the year. The Wolves travel to Hillcrest Academy (Kalona, IA) to face the Ravens in a SEI - North outing on Tuesday, September 12. The Ravens go into the outing with a record of 3-3. Hillcrest Academy lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Wapello (Wapello, IA)
The Bulldogs now sport a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Holy Trinity Catholic for a Freelance outing on Tuesday, September 12. Mediapolis will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Notre Dame (Burlington, IA). The Crusaders record now stands at 8-3.
